Langwieder See OHG Privacy Policy

Welcome to our website. This site is designed to provide you with information about our company and our services, and offers you the opportunity to submit inquiries, make reservations at our hotel, and send us messages. This policy explains what happens to your personal data, how we use it, and the choices you can make regarding how your data is collected and used.
Langwieder See OHG (hereinafter referred to as “Hotel,” “us,” or “we”) is responsible for processing data on this site. Further details can be found in the legal notice.

1. Collection and Use of Data
1.1 Data Collected by the Website

When you visit our website, our web servers temporarily collect technical details about the device you are using to access our website, such as the type of browser used, the operating system installed, or device settings. In addition, we collect your IP address and, if you access our website using your mobile phone, for example, we also collect your device’s unique identifier (so-called “Unique Device Identifier”). Our web server also collects certain data that the web browser you are using automatically transmits.

This includes:

- the name of your Internet service provider,
- the address of the website from which you are visiting us,
- the subpage of the Hotel Langwieder See website that you are visiting, and
- the date and duration of your visit.

Providing any other personal data is not required to use the website.

1.2 Use of Cookies

To make your visit to our website more engaging and to enable the use of certain features, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e., when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies). You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept them, or to block the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or generally. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.
You may object to the use of cookies that are not technically necessary at any time.

1.3 Use of Google Analytics for Web Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.de). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is enabled on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. IP anonymization is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can click this link to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click the link again.

You can object to the use of Google Analytics at any time.

1.4 Remarketing / Retargeting

Our websites use retargeting technologies. We use these technologies to make our website more interesting for you. This technology allows us to show ads to internet users who have shown interest in our products on our partners’ websites. We believe that displaying personalized, interest-based ads is generally more interesting to internet users than ads that lack such a personal connection. These ads are displayed on our partners’ websites based on cookie technology and an analysis of previous usage behavior. This form of advertising is conducted entirely on a pseudonymous basis. No personal data is stored, and no usage profiles are merged with your personal data.

2. Inquiries / Contact Form

You can also submit inquiries (e.g., regarding availability, etc.) via our website, which we will be happy to answer. To make the contact process more personal and enable us to respond, you have the option to provide us with your name, address, phone number, and email address via the contact form. Of course, you can also receive information using only an email address. We store personal data such as your name, address, phone number, email address, etc., that you provide to us in this way—provided no booking is made—only for as long as necessary for the respective correspondence, unless an exceptional incident, such as a hacker attack, requires longer storage.

By voluntarily providing your personal data, you consent to this processing of your data.

3. Orders / Reservations

When you place orders or make reservations (rooms, conference rooms, events, etc.) via our website, through the DIRS21 online booking tool from TourOnline AG implemented on our website, or by other means (e.g., by phone, fax, or email), we—and TourOnline AG—typically collect personal information such as your name, address, desired shipping address (if applicable), email address, phone number, credit card number, and bank account information, as well as any data regarding traveling companions.

5. Purposes for Which We Use Your Data

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

5.2 In addition, we process your data to respond to your contact requests and to process orders or reservations, in particular to fulfill our contractual obligations to you and to optimize our services in accordance with your preferences. 7. Data Retention and Purpose of Processing

7.1 We store personal data (such as name, address, email address, etc.) that you provide to us when submitting an inquiry via the contact form, by email, fax, or phone—provided no booking is made—only for as long as necessary for the respective correspondence, unless an exceptional incident, such as a hacker attack, requires longer storage.

The processing and storage of this data for the purpose of responding to your inquiry is based on the consent you have provided for this purpose (Art. 6 GDPR).

7.2 Personal data requested by us in connection with a booking is processed and stored for the purpose of contract fulfillment (Art. 6 GDPR). 7.4 Non-personal data may be stored indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

8.1 To view, delete, update, or restrict the use of your personal data that we have collected via our website or otherwise, you may contact us at any time by email or phone. You can find our contact information at the end of this policy and in the legal notice. The same applies if you have further questions about the data we have stored about you or its use.

8.2 If you request the deletion of your data, it will be promptly removed from our systems, unless we are required to continue storing your data—for example, due to tax or commercial law retention obligations. In such a case, we will ensure that your data is blocked for other purposes.

8.3 In addition, you may contact us at any time and, in justified cases, object to the processing of personal data concerning you. This applies in particular to the collection of your data for statistical analysis of our website users by Google Analytics, as well as for advertising purposes.

8.4 If you have consented to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes, you may revoke your consent at any time with future effect.
